7 Best Places For Snack Food In Hanoi

Vietnam is world-famous for its diverse, flavorful and balanced cuisine, and Hanoi food is especially interesting. Hanoi food has its own legendary dishes, and the city is packed with places to eat.

2. Bun Cha (Noodles and grilled meat) in Hang Manh

Pho might be Vietnam's most famous dish but bun cha is the top choice when it comes to lunchtime in the capital. Just look for the clouds of meaty smoke after 11 a.m. when street-side restaurants start grilling up small patties of seasoned pork and slices of marinated pork belly over a charcoal fire. Once they're charred and crispy the morsels are served with a large bowl of a fish sauce-heavy broth, a basket of herbs and a helping of rice noodles.

Located at 2 Nguyen Truong To, the intersection with Hang Than street, the small restaurant is always crowded. On menu, there are dozens kind of sweetened porridge with jelly, but almost all of people coming here taste mango sweetened porridge first, then choose other types.

Mango is cut, cooked with jelly and then put in small bowl, then a layer of milk cream is added on the top. On eating the dish, you will see the greasy of milk and the flavour of mango slices. Each bowl of mango sweetened porridge is 8,000 VND.

5. My van than Binh Tay (Binh Tay wonton) in Hang Chieu street

A bowl of Binh Tay wonton has noodles, wonton. The wonton is made from flour and eggs, then flattened to be crispy and tough but remain the yellow color. It is stuffed by shrimps, mushrooms, a slice of boiled eggs, shredded vegetables and shallot, wrapped in a thin layer of flour. Chicken bone, pig bone, dried sturgeon are simmered, combined with some medicinal and shrimp shells that make the broth be special and appetizing.

This famous flan in Hanoi has been famous for decades, which is the favorite snack food of the students. The flan is soft and a little tough with the taste of greasy and warm.
