Exploring Thien Cung Cave - The Underneath Paradise Of Ha Long

Not everyone knows that the legend of Thien Cung cave is closely attached with King Dragon thousand years ago. The cave was the place where King Dragon arrived after helping his people defeat the enemy. When there was heavy drought, people were so hungry that they found a person to find King Dragon for rain. To congratulate the couple, the dragons flew across the stalactite cloud forest, pythons wrapped themselves around the ancient trees, lions danced with their flying manes, above flight giant eagles and below lied sleeping elephants waiting for bride and groom. Nam Tao and Bac Dau with white and cloud-like hair going to the party also created exciting atmosphere in Thien Cung cave.

The most wonderful cave in Ha Long cave system

Lying on Dau Go island (in the Southwest of Halong bay), Thien Cung cave is at the height of about 25 metres comparing to sea level and far from tourism quay about 4 kilometres. With approximately 10.000 square kilometres and complicated structure, the cave is surrounded by many high cliffs, stalactite blocks and multi-shape stalagmites.

The way to Thien Cung cave is covered with the shade of green trees and cliffs. After crossing the narrow door of the cave, there appears the quadrangle shape space with the height of over 130 metres. The farther you go, the more impressed you will be because of the lively majestic stalactite blocks.

Looking to the cliffs in the East of the cave, you will see the great picture with many characters in fairy tales created by the nature. The cliff in the north of the cave attracts many tourists because of lively and interesting images of singing and dancing fairies.

Standing at the center of Thien Cung cave, visitors will be able to admire four giant pillars carved with many unique shapes from the foot to the top of each pillar such as: ancient people, birds, wild animals, flowers and trees.

If continuing to the end of the cave, tourists will have the feeling of losing in the fairyland with the perfect mixture of fanciful and colorful light reflecting on lively rock blocks. The four-season murmuring water flows, the transparent ponds shading unique stone blocks, the winding paths leading to Halong bay… have harmoniously created a mysteriously beautiful Thien Cung cave.

After visiting majestic Thien Cung cave, you also visit Dau Go cave or wander on the yachts admiring the beautiful Halong.
